Microsoft released Visual Studio 2019 for Windows and Mac on April 2, 2019. IMHO, Any edition of the Visual Studio is the best IDE, but now it is getting better than the best.
I installed the community version and getting the feel of it.
It has many features
- New UI
- Solution Filter – Just load the needed projects from your big solution.
- New and Smart Search bar with much more functionalities like a search for a particular template and adding class etc right from the search box.
- IntelliCode – ML powered IntelliSense, which analyses your coding style and predicts which is the most probable method or property to be used.
- Faster code clean up navigation
- Faster Debugging experience – 50% faster step in to and step through and Search functionality for watch and locals window with specified depth.
- Better code refactor – One click new navigation for code refactoring.
- Live Share – Real-time collaboration between developers without bypassing version control. It enables them to Live-debugging, Live-Edit and even Live-Audio from the development environment thus boosting peer programming, troubleshooting, etc.
- A lot more productivity tools…
But don’t worry. There is a free course on Pluralsight to learn all the features.
But please note, it is free only till 22 April 2019. that is NEXT 20 DAYS only.
