Sexual orientation is our identity. In this article, we will understand 25 sexualities and their meaning in today’s era. Few of them are very new words, even less than 10 years old.

1. Asexual –

Someone having low or lack of sexual desire or attraction.

2. Gray sexual

Person having very limited sexual desires. They experience sexual attraction very rarely or low intensity.

3. Cupiosexual –

A person having no sexual attraction but still desires to engage in sexual relationship.

4. Lithosexual

The lithosexual person may be uncomfortable at the thought of someone being sexually attracted to them, or they may lose their sexual feelings if they learn it’s reciprocated

5. Allosexual

Someone is having any sexual desires and attraction. Opposite to asexual.

6. Heterosexual

Sexual attraction for opposite gender.

7. Homosexual

Sexual attraction for same gender. A male having sexual desires towards man is GAY while a female having sexual orientation for female only, is lesbian.

8. Skoliosexual

Sexual attraction for nonbinary gender or transgender. It is also known as queer.

9. Monosexual

Someone who gets attracted towards ONE sex only. Please note that It could be homosexual as well.

10. Bisexual

A person having sexual desires for male and female both.  

11. Polysexual

A Polysexual is a person who has sexual interests in more than one gender. So bisexual and polysexual categories belong to this category.

12. Autosexual

Sexual orientation towards oneself.

13. Omnisexual

It has no gender constraint on sexual attraction. It could be towards any gender.

14. Pansexual

not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity. It can be same as Omnisexual.

15. Demisexual

A person feeling sexual desires only if she/he has made emotional attachment with someone.

16. Androsexual

Someone who gets attracted to masculinity. It can have gay, or heterosexual as well.

17. Gynesexual

Someone who is attracted to femininity. Lesbians, or heterosexuals can also fall in this category.

18. Capiosexual

Only attracted to female poets.

19. Camisexual

Person having attraction for male poets.

20. Sapiosexual –

When someone is attracted to intelligence instead of physical beauty or other parameters. According to Cosmopolitan – It can be with homosexuals or even with skoliosexuals while some suggest it is for the opposite intelligent gender only.

21. Metrosexual –

A man who dresses up like woman but have sexual attraction towards women only.

22. Spectrasexual

Any individual attracted to multiple or a wide range of different sexes, genders, and gender identities, but not necessarily all or any. For example – some attracted to males and transgenders only.

23. Abrosexual/Sanssexual

A person with varying sexual desires but one at a time. For example – I person could be gay, then asexual, and then skoliosexual.

24. Necrosexual

Person who is sexually attracted towards the dead bodies. Necrophile – they like to have sex with corpses

25. Pomosexual

This term is used to refer to those who reject sexuality labels or don’t identify with any of the above 25 sexual categories.
