Karla MTDC, situated near Lonavala, is a beautiful spot if you need to simply relax for the weekend. I have visited a lot of MTDC resorts, but I found this one to be the biggest and most accessible of all.

How to reach Karla MTDC?

If you get down at Lonavala station, you can find 6 seater which ply to and forth from the resort. They charge around Rs. 15 per person.

Karla MTDC Resort amenities:

The resort itself is huge with lots of different rooms. Rooms are cheap. Opt for garden rooms or rooms near the reception if possible. The resort has a restaurant and playground for kids. There is a lake inside the resort which had boating facilities. Boating is now currently closed. There is also a water park inside the resort. Bookings for the resort can be done here.

What to do?

If you want to go around for some more adventure, Lonavala is nearby. You can visit all the beautiful spots in Lonavala and enjoy yourself. There are Karla caves nearby which is another place you can go visit.
